Destination Wedding Expert Candice “Candy” Cain will be offering a new destination wedding certification course in Mexico on February 28, 2011 from 7:00pm – 9:30pm. Thanks to Mexican wedding planner Ilse Diamant of Secret Jewel Celebrations and Diamant Events, the program will be simultaneously offered in English and Spanish. The course will take place at the Global Center Auditorio y Sala in Cancun.

The International Destination Wedding Course covers topics such as how to work with US-based planners and clients, marketing your business, maintaining relationships with vendors and resorts, presenting your business and services, publicity and much more. The very first course was taught in November 2011 and received with an excellent response, so it was decided that Candy and Ilse would teach it again in January, but in a larger venue. The course in January was sold out, with so much demand that it will be taught again in February.

Destination weddings are on the rise. Candy Cain has created, planned and produced destination weddings all over the world, including several at the different Real Resorts properties. This course has been designed by Candy and implemented by Real Resorts to certify wedding planners and travel agents in this growing niche of weddings, specifically to create, plan and produce flawless weddings at Real Resorts. You asked and AFWPI answered. The AFWPI Destination Wedding Specialist Certification Course is available online via live streaming during certain live seminars. Be a part of the course and get your certification from the comfort of your own home. This course will be instructed by Candice “Candy” Cain, and all participants that pass the open book test will obtain their certificate as an AFWPI Certified Destination Wedding Specialist. Their certificate will bear the signatures of Candy and Richard Markel, President of AFWPI, and will be sent to them via USPS Priority Mail.

Course participants need not be a certified wedding planner nor a certified travel agent. They will receive their certification as a Destination Wedding Specialist, which is completely different from both of the aforementioned fields. Participants will also have the opportunity to partner with Candy Cain Travel and/or Wedding Lane with Candy Cain on future projects. Candy will also make herself available via email and telephone to any participants that may have questions about destination weddings after the course at no additional charge.

This course will be offered online Wednesday, July 25, from 1:00pm- 5:00pm EST. Course registrants will receive a special link for the course via GotoMeeting.com. Online registrants will receive a PDF copy of the presentation, and will be required to mail their final exam (open book) to Candy Cain Travel when completed. Candy Cain will be heading to Playa del Carmen with the Association For Wedding Professionals International this February for a three day site inspection and familiarization trip with educational seminars. Candy will be teaching three of these seminars, including the Destination Wedding Specialist Certification Course, where wedding professionals will learn all aspects of planning and executing a destination wedding.
